Great Ormond Street Hospital / Weightmans LLP

Objective

Weightmans LLP is a Top 60 national law firm, founded in 1827. The brief was to develop an event to launch a repositioned Weightmans brand, emphasising its commitment to corporate social responsibility and its client, Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital, thereby raising the profile of Weightmans, and also raising funds for Great Ormond Street

Approach

The event idea was based on ‘brave little soldiers’ a theme that connected the venue (the Honourable Artillery Company) and Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital.  However, rather than setting a fundraising target on the evening, the audience was asked to bid in both silent and live auctions to provide the finances to buy a vital signs monitor -  a vivid reminder of the ‘brave little soldiers’ at Great Ormond Street. 

Results

The evening raised a fantastic £25,000, more than enough funds to pay for the equipment.
