Nielsen – Nordic retailing conference
Objective:
Nielsen is a global information and media company, which measures market and media performance of companies and industries, specifically in the retail markets. Nielsen tasked Start Live with developing a retail and merchandising conference for its Nordic client base that would deliver true market insights, as well as providing a backdrop for an informative and engaging conference and a number of networking opportunities.
Approach:
Start Live created an interactive conference schedule for the delegates which elected to put the merchandising and retail focus on the British High Street. Delegates were given a pre-loaded Nielsen-branded Maestro card, and set a series of tasks to carry out in retail outlets. The delegates were taken on a walking tour of both the high street and out-of-town retail sites, meeting management and customers, and giving them a far greater real-life insight than they would have achieved by watching a conference room presentation.
Results:
The success of the format meant that Start Live has now rolled this concept out in a number of leading European cities, including Manchester, Paris, London and Düsseldorf.
